Travertine Tile To remove any excess sealer before cleaning use Tile Doctor Remove & Go Sealer remover.

Travertine Tile Remove any cleaning solution using a wet-dry vac machine (any cleaning solution left on the surface may impact the performance of the sealer) then neutralise floor with clean water prior to sealing, remove with a wet-dry Vac machine and allow to dry for 12 hours or more.

Travertine Tile Polishing
To restore a deep polish on Travertine use Burnishing Pads in conjunction with a buffing machine.

Sealing Travertine Tile Apply Tile Doctor Colour Grow sealer using a paintpad applicator and tray. 2 coats of sealant should be sufficent, always allow to dry before applying further coats. Use a water test to achieve full cure sealability (F.C.S.).
Most sealers break down after 2-3 years (depending on usage and cleaning products used) so for regular cleaning use a sealer friendly cleaning product such as Neutral Tile Cleaner which has been especially formulated for the regular cleaning of Sealed Stone and Tile surfaces keeping them fresh with a pleasant mint scent.

UGH! My son recently missed the toilet while running to throw up and some landed on my travertine floor. I cleaned it up immediately, and the next morning could see a stain with splash marks and all. Any suggestions as to how to get the stain up would be greatly appreciated.
Tile Doctor Hi Joan,
Could be the acids in your sons stomach have etched the stone, the best you could do is reseal it with another coat of sealer, if you know which sealer was used then use that one, if not then I can recommend Tile Doctor Pro-Seal, if this doesnt work then the stone is damaged and there's not a lot you can do.

Is it neccessary to seal Travertine tiles and is ok to put them up and then seal them. If any cement gets on the tiles will this stain them or is it easy to get the cement off?.
Tile Doctor Hi James,
We have a sealer called Pro-Seal which is ideal for Travertine, you need to seal the tiles first as this will make it easier to remove the grout afterwards.
